To win the kids' hearts, Joon and Mir are spending the day with the 3 kids without the other 3 favorite appas. They'll both do everything they can to see who is the last place appa now. They start by asking the kids again to choose which appa they like better between them two.
They then went to a mall with Joon buying shoes, clothes, and dolls for the girls. It's shows how much Joon likes the kids for him to spend his own money to buy them stuffs knowing how cheap he is, even to girls, LOL! XD Next destination is Pororo Land where the kids enjoy watching Pororo show, played balls and rode the train. It's time to choose again, Mir will be in Pororo house waiting while Joon is in another character house.
All 3 kids went to Mir which made Joon crazy mad. =P I can see Joon's efforts and his sincerity to win over the kids. The happiness he shows for every little thing the kids to for him like a simple "thank you" from Lauren, a bobo from Dayoung, or Leo learning how to bow, says how much he cares. But when things didn't go his way, he becomes this crazy violent man who shouts, points, and "punishes" the kids. If he can fix that, I think he can be such a good dad. =)
Back at their house, they decided to look for a mom for their kids because they just can't handle everything on their own. All appas agreed except for Joon, who said they don't need a mom because he can do it himself (why do I get this vibe that Joon has become a woman hater because of being hurt so badly by his ex? =S). Cheondoong's only requirement is she has to be pretty, LOL! =P
G.O. called Jung Juri, but instead of asking her to be the mom, he's actually asking her if she knows a pretty girl who can be the mom for their kids, lol! XD Seungho called Kara's Gyuri and asked her to be their kids' mom. Gyuri playfully asked him if he's proposing to her, so Seungho just asked her "ok, let's just get married". ^^ Mir called Suzy, and upon hearing her say "it's Suzy", their happiness can't be contained, LOL! XD I wish they showed who Cheondoong called too, he could just call IU. ^^
MBLAQ Hello Baby - Ep 5
In their temple stay, we see Dayoung eating a lot which surprised Mir. After the meal, they sit in camp fire style with the kids and Dayoung kissed G.O. and Mir. =) Back at home, the kids are all very happy playing, maybe a little bit too happy, lol! XD The appas are having a hard time withstanding the squeals of the kids. =P
Since Joon were not present in the previous episode, the 4 appas decided to do a hidden camera for him. They wrote down missions for him with the kids while they all left and stayed in the next room watching him on the monitor. Joon arrived only seeing the kids in the room and worried that they might not recognize him anymore. He asked who he is and you can see how happy Joon is when the Dayoung and Leo said, "Lee Joon Appa". ^^
Joon set up tents he brought for the kids and the kids love them! ^^ G.O. told him that he has to do the missions or the recording will never end. 1st mission is to play with the kids, to which Joon did pretty well until he accidentally hit Dayoung. He was so worried that he hurt her and hugged her at once. 2nd mission is to prepare snacks for the kids, and 3rd is to play prince and princess with them. Joon really did great taking care of 3 kids all by himself! =) His time alone time with all 3 kids is my favorite part of this episode. So cute seeing him listen to the kids talking a lot to him. ^^
After all the missions, Mblaq members came with a cake and sang a birthday song for Joon. The kids each gave him a kiss as a birthday present, so sweet! =) They had another round of voting who the favorite appas are and I guess the kids' favorites will not change, so they made another round to choose the 2nd favorite dad among Joon and Mir. The result is totally different from their first voting. I love Dayoung's answer when asked why she chose Joon, "Because Joon Appa hugged me when I cried". *awww*
Then came their next mission, to perform in a musical together with their children. For the next 50 days, they have to conceptualize the story with multicultural family as a theme, choose the songs, and practice the choreography. They went to a children's musical school to ask for help. They're also looking for a mom for their kids, I guess for their musical as well? I think if would be great if one of their female idol friends would come and help them out.
MBLAQ Hello Baby - Ep 4
The appas went to ask an expert's advice to understand their children better. While the appas are answering questionnaires to see their parenting skills, the kids went with the teacher to play. Using dolls with their pictures, the teacher asked the kids to prepare food and give it to their favorite appa. Next, she asked them to give to their 2nd favorite appa, and the answers are surprising! =)
Next, they discovered Dayoung's inner feelings. First is in the swimming pool, she said she was hurt, sad and upset because G.O. played the tube with Lauren but never played it with her. When G.O. doll said sorry to her, she smiled at once and said she loves him. *awww* Next is at the dinner table, she said she was upset, sad and a bit irritated because Mir punished her for not eating when she's actually full. It's a big eye opener for the appas because it's the first time they understood how Dayoung felt. She's a really cute girl and intelligent too. ^^
The teacher said Dayoung is a child that's afraid to make mistakes so avoid comparing her with others and compliment her more. But G.O. complimented her by comparing her to a turtle, LOL! XD At the room interview, Dayoung asked G.O. appa to do it better next time, lol! =P
They role played what happened with Joon and Leo, and Leo saw himself and realized he's wrong. The teacher told the appas in disciplining the child, they have to explain carefully instead of yelling and getting angry. I'm really learning a lot from this! =) The expert then chose the best appa and explained why and gave them advice how to become a better dad.
Next, they went to a temple to make their father-children bond stronger and to help the kids calm their energetic spirits. The appas each wrote their family motto and the monk chose the best motto. I really wish Joon was there, he can learn so much from this episode on how to understand the kids better.
MBLAQ Hello Baby - Ep 3
Mblaq and the babies have a new house! They divide into "Mart Team" with Seungho, Loren, and Mir and the "Toy Store Team" with Cheondung, Leo, G.O., Dayoung, and Joon.
It's considerate of Seungho to remember to check on the foods that the kids like from the parents' letters to make sure that they get them from the market. =) Mblaq appas are so happy when they saw Dayoung smile and speak. ^^
Leo fought with Lauren for the shark balloon. I like how Cheondung handled the situation, he stayed put when the other appas are talking to Leo, and just took over when it didn't work. He talked to him calmly and told him that he has to say sorry to Lauren. And Leo did say sorry! =)
Joon teased Leo for being a cry baby which made Leo angry and punched him. I agree that a child has to be disciplined because hitting is never right. But I think Joon is confusing the child, he's acting like a child playing with them but when he got hurt, he instantly becomes a dad and puts out punishment. If he wants authority, he has to establish it first and stop with the playing. We don't see Leo hitting the other appas, only Joon and Mir because he see them as playmates, not dads. The one on one talk Joon did with Leo is really great, explaining will help Leo understand better. =)
When Dayoung doesn't like to eat, Mir asked her to leave the table. I know Mir means well and wants to discipline her. But Dayoung is a shy and aloof girl, pushing her away will not help. Just look at how they're seated, Lauren is on Seungho's lap and Leo on Cheondung's, while Dayoung is seated on the floor beside Mir who obviously prefers Lauren. How do they think the little girl would feel? I want to thank Joon for going over and hugging Dayoung because she sure needs more of those hugs. I really want to hug Dayoung now.~
MBLAQ Hello Baby - Ep 2
The babies went to Mblaq's dorm while they're all still sleeping. The kids' first mission is to wake up their appas. ^^ Dayoung sure wakes them up like a boss, LOL! XD After the appas are awake, they tour the kids into their rooms, which shows their personalities.
Seungho prepared Pororo in his computer to encourage them to be good girls and boy. =) Mir's room got lots of comic books. He almost cried when the kids took them out of the shelf and wrinkle them, lol! XD G.O.'s room has music equipments fitting of a vocalist.
The three babies have very different personalities, their parents wrote letters to help Mblaq understand the kids better. Lauren is pretty, cheerful and listens well, the appas can't help but like her. Leo being a boy is very naughty and loves to play, but his biggest problem is politeness. He speaks banmal to older people and even says "yah" which is very disrespectful to Koreans. Dayoung is shy but she speaks really well just like a grown up, she's so cute when she speaks!^^ She's very observant but a bit stubborn so you have to win her before she listens to you.
